Fresh, lively and mineral, this Saint Romain has lovely floral notes. It also reveals a distinct minerality due to the limestone soil. The vines for this cuvée are located beneath the ruins of the old Château de Saint-Romain. As it ages, it may develop notes of hazelnut and butter. The ‘Sous le Château’ climate is one of the most prestigious in the Saint-Romain appellation, and has the best exposure! This climat is currently in negotiations to become a 1er Cru. In the meantime, it has the quality!
